CadillacJukebox.net

You're here because...

You got one of the following rejection messages when you tried to email someone hosted on the streak.cadillacjukebox.net server.

NOTE: CadillacJukebox.net has a zero tolerance policy for spam and viruses. We makes every effort to deliver all legitimate email that the recipient has given prior consent to receive but will block all unwanted mail, regardless of content. Spam is defined here as unsolicited (meaning the recipient did not give prior consent to receive the email) and bulk (meaning an email with substantially the same content, not including content included to avoid spam filters such as hashbusters, was delivered to more than one email address at any location). The final determination of what is and is not spam rests with this server's admin.

A problem occured when the server attempting to send your email to this server didn't identify itself properly. Contact your ISP and give them the exact error message you got, refer them to this page as well or ask them to contact CJ at postmaster [at] cadillacjukebox.net. If you're the server admin, please check your server's configuration and correct the problem.

Sender address rejected (your email address) known virus or spam sender.

Your email address has sent a bunch of spam or viruses to this server and so it's been blocked. If you think this is an error, contact us and we'll check it out.

(Your email address) is not authorized to send mail out through this server.

You aren't authorized to send out mail from this server. If you're hosted here, please check that you have enabled smtp authentication in your email program. See our "Sending email..." webpage for help with Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Eudora or other email programs. If you're not hosted at CJ, then you need to check your email program's smtp settings to send out mail thru your own ISP.

Too many invalid recipients, message rejected.

Your message contained several recipients at domains hosted here but a majority of those recipients weren't valid email addresses. Please check the recipient email addresses in your message, remove any that aren't valid and re-send it only to valid email addresses.

Mail from (mail server name & IP address) not accepted, spam source, see Spamhaus SBL/XBL for details.
Mail from (mail server name & IP address) not accepted here, constant spam source.

Your ISP's mail servers have been sending out a lot of spam and they're listed at Spamhaus or we've gotten a lot of spam from your ISP's mail servers and have privately listed it as a spam source. Talk to your ISP, give them the exact error message you received and point out that you're paying them to keep a clean house so that you don't get blocked because they're letting spammers run amuck. If your ISP feels we've made a mistake, they can contact us at postmaster [at] cadillacjukebox.net and we'll be happy to investigate and correct any errors we've made. If the block is at Spamhaus, your iSP should check their website for instructions on getting the entry removed.

Mail from (your email address domain) not accepted here, constant spam source.
Mail from (your email address) not accepted here, for spam or viruses.

We've gotten a lot of spam here with your email address or your address' domain as the sender. If you feel we've made a mistake, please contact us at postmaster [at] cadillacjukebox.net and we'll be happy to check our records and fix any errors.

Please use your ISP's mail servers, direct-to-mx not accepted here.

It looks like your PC is trying to connect directly to this server to deliver mail. Because that method is often used by virus infected computers to send spam, we don't allow that. If you're hosted here, please check that you have enabled smtp authentication in your email program. See the "Sending email..." webpage for help with Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Eudora or other email programs. If you're not hosted here, then please check your email program's smtp settings to send out mail thru your own ISP. If you're a server admin, please check the rDNS for your server's IP address, it appears to resolve to a hostname that indicates a dynamic or residential connection. Your internet provider should set up PTR records for your IP address that match your server's hostname.

Mail from (your email address domain) must be sent thru that domain's mail servers.
Rejected - looks like a phish (fraudulent attempt to steal online banking logins).

In order to keep out phish attempts (that's emails that pretend to be from your bank or your broker or eBay or Paypal to trick you into giving out your user name and password as well as let them install keystroke loggers and spamware on your PC without your knowledge), on certain sender domains, we check that they match the domain of the sending mail server. Your email appears to have a different sender domain from the mail server domain. Please check your email program to make sure your smtp settings are correct, you should be using your ISP's outgoing mail servers to send out mail. If you're a server admin, you may have a security issue, please check your server carefully.

No hostname found for (mail server IP address).

It looks like there's a problem with identifying the mail server you're sending from, we can't match up the IP address with a hostname. Please contact your ISP and give them the exact error message you got, refer them to this page or ask them to contact us at postmaster [at] cadillacjukebox.net. If you're the server admin, please check your server's configuration, it appears that rDNS is failing for your server's IP address, you may need to contact your internet provider to get them to set up PTR records for your IP address.

Any other questions may be directed to the server admin by emailing postmaster [at] cadillacjukebox.net (Email address given only for legitimate non-UBE purposes, any spam sent to that email address will be considered a request to permanently block all mail from the sending mail server.)
